HOPE FOR AFRICA INITIATIVE
Jane is the senior pastor Prayer Palace Church. She is an unassuming, incredibly compassionate leader in Rwanda. Her congregation, which has grown to over 1000 in just few years, is an eclectic mix of former prostitutes, and those who have finally come clean. They have grown into a powerful force for good in their neighborhood. They offer a 24 hour counseling service, assist with HIV testing and offer treatment for those who now live with AIDS. They have also started alternative job creation initiatives and provide a safe quiet space for reflection in a ghetto that never sleeps. Our goal is to assist this Church increase the number of HIV testing they do per month. It cost $10 to test a person HIV/AIDS and offer ongoing counseling.
